Station Globe (it drew a comment from Queen Victoria)

This police station globe was used outside Faversham Police Station. It’s unusual as it is made from Ruby glass with clear inserts. Find out what Queen Victoria thought when she saw the globe for the first time, by visiting the museum.

This used to hang in a fine cast iron arch, and was lit with gas.
