Motorcycle Patrol
Description:PC Fred Hubble on his 125cc Velocette LE patrol motor cycle. Velocettes, known as ‘Noddy’ bikes were mainly for rural policing, and process work in towns. They were known as 'Noddy' bikes, because if the rider took his right hand from the throttle to salute a senior officer, it snapped shut, causing the machine to rapidly decellerate. Permission was then given for the officer to 'Nod' his acknowledgement of the officer.
