I served in the Kent force from 1972 until 1989 and now I live in Spain.

I would love to be able to obtain momentos of the force I served in with pride so if anything is available I'd love to know.

In the meantime keep up the good work as the site is excellent.

I served in the Kent Police from 1960-69 before resigning to emigrate to NZ. 60/62 as a cadet at Sittingbourne and 62-69 as PC at Chatham and last 4 yrs at 1ATO where I met and married Hazel (nee Benoy) who was 1st female civilian radio operator at HQ. I love your website, especially the photos of my former 1ATO mates, Gordon Boozer, Keith Stanley, Rusty Lee etc. We hope to visit the UK in the next couple of years so will make a point of visiting the museum. Hazel sends her best wishes to you all. regards Mike Tebbutt ex PC3270.

My Grt Grandfather John Sidders was listed as a Police Constable in the 1891 Census. He & his family lived at Crockenhill, Eynesford, Kent. Is anyone able to tell me where he worked as a Police Constable. I was told he rode to work on a push bike.

I am looking for any info on Alfred Bourne from 2 Wingfield Bank Northfleet. In the 1901 census he was a Police Pensioner at 37. Family legend is that he was invalided out after being shot on duty and died in 1910 after the bullet moved.
